David and Pat are a husband and wife team and we're parents too. Photographing young children is great fun and our priority is to create an environment where children think they're just having a play around so we can capture happy and natural photos. Because we often shoot in your own home or out in the country, children will automatically be at their most relaxed.

Not sure what the little ones should wear? That's simple - whatever they're comfortable in! You should have a few changes of tops, perhaps some hats and scarves in colder weather. It's important that children feel comfortable with what they wear.

If smaller children love to play with favourite toys or carry round a much loved teddy - that's great, and allows us to capture the essence of the child at that time in their life which is what you want to remember. Children will be encouraged to run around, play with things and generally have a good time.  All the while we'll capture what they're up to.
