Verso is committed to capturing and revealing the beauty in an artist’s process.
Founded by architect and multidisciplinary artist Jacki Schaefer, Verso beautifully documents creatives at work. The daughter of a fashion designer and a woodworker, Jacki grew up in a workshop environment that fostered her understanding of and appreciation for how art is made. Since launching her photography business in 2012, Jacki has grown relationships with countless artists, makers and families — and has also grown a reputation for being responsive, respectful and flexible.

Verso loves creators who work with their hands: painters, sculptors, furniture-makers, tattoo artists, chefs, you name it. Jacki finds that these makers frequently struggle with imagery that accurately captures and reflects their vibe. She produces high-quality, documentary-style photos that beautifully represent the artistic journey, and make it easy for subjects to engage in self-promotion that they feel good about.
